Annual Impact Report: Humanitarian Programs in Review

kasakurdan@gmail.com January 20, 2026

An impact report is not just a document. It is a conversation between an organization and the community it serves — a moment to say clearly: here is what we said we would do, here is what we actually did, here is what we learned, here is where we fell short. KASA takes this conversation seriously because the community we serve deserves honesty, not just good news.

This year’s humanitarian programs reached hundreds of families across multiple campaigns: Ramadan food distribution, Eid al-Adha Qurban, winter heating aid, weekly hot meal delivery, and emergency response to acute crises. In each case, the outcome was shaped by the same factors: the quality of our volunteer network, the generosity of our donor base, and the community trust that brings families to us in the first place.

Where we fell short: we know there are families in our community who need help and who we have not reached. The geographic spread of the Kurdish American diaspora means that KASA’s networks are stronger in some cities than others. Expanding our reach to more isolated Kurdish families — those living in smaller cities without established Kurdish communities — is the central challenge for our humanitarian programs in the year ahead.
