Becoming a KASA Member: What It Means and How to Apply

kasakurdan@gmail.com May 15, 2026

KASA membership is open to anyone who wants to be formally affiliated with the organization and committed to its mission. Membership is not required to attend KASA events, to receive services, or to volunteer — all of those are open to the broader community. Membership is for people who want a more formal connection: to receive regular updates about KASA’s programs and finances, to participate in governance, and to be counted as part of the organization in a way that goes beyond occasional participation.

Members receive KASA’s newsletter and annual reports, invitations to member-only events and briefings, and the ability to vote in KASA board elections. Members are also the first people we call when we need volunteers for something specific or when we want community input on a decision. If you want to know more about how KASA works and have a voice in where it goes, membership is how you do that.

To apply, reach out through our contact page. Membership is free, though members who are able to make a financial contribution to the organization are encouraged to do so. The process is simple: you express interest, we schedule a brief conversation, and you are welcomed in.
