Year in Review: KASA’s 2025 Milestones and Achievements

kasakurdan@gmail.com March 31, 2026

2025 was the year KASA’s humanitarian programs reached scale. The Ramadan food distribution grew to 180 families. The Qurban campaign for Eid al-Adha was the largest in the organization’s history. The winter heating aid campaign reached families in multiple cities for the first time. These are not incremental improvements — they represent a genuine expansion in the organization’s capacity to serve.

The language program also had a strong year. Online enrollment grew, the Kurdish language competition drew its largest field of participants, and the adult English program served more students than in any previous year. The IT education program in Rojava graduated 47 students. These educational programs are building something durable — not just skills in individual students but a pipeline of capable, connected Kurdish community members.

The honest version of the year also includes what did not go as planned. One partnership did not develop as expected. A fundraising campaign fell short of its goal. There were families we were not able to reach. We include these not as self-criticism but as context: the work of building a community organization is not a smooth upward line, and we are learning as we go.
