The Impact of Community Donations: A Year in Numbers

kasakurdan@gmail.com December 21, 2025

Last year, KASA distributed food packages to more than 400 families across multiple distribution campaigns. We reached over 180 families during Ramadan alone. We completed a Qurban program for Eid al-Adha that provided meat to families who would otherwise have gone without. We ran a winter heating aid campaign that reached dozens of households before the coldest months arrived. None of this happened without donations.

Behind every number in this report is a decision that a donor made — to transfer money through Zelle, to write a check, to share a fundraising post with their network, to bring a carload of items to a collection point. The aggregate of those individual decisions is what allows KASA to function. There is no mystery behind how the organization operates: people give, and KASA organizes those resources into programs that reach families in need.

We publish this summary not just as an accounting but as a thank-you. Every family that received a food package this year, every child who ate a hot meal because of KASA’s program, every elderly community member who stayed warm through a difficult winter — they are the reason to give, and they are the measure of what your giving accomplishes.
